Unique Boutique Program (See Dressing for Blessing Page)
Objective: To encourage re-entry into the workforce
by supplying new or slightly used interview attire to individuals in need. Visit us on Mondays at the Clayton County
Department of Labor, Mt. Zion Rd, from 10:00am-11:30am.
Washing my Sisters Feet Program
Objective: To assist expectant or new mothers
of low to no income families, with baby supplies by bringing the community together to exchange items such as baby clothing,
furniture, shoes, etc. Items must be in excellent or new condition.
Attitudes Career Coaching/Skill Development (Ask about our Free Women's Workshops held monthly)
Objective: To counsel and help enhanced career skills that will
encourage employment such as interviewing skills, professional dress. Software
Skills training in all Microsoft products will also be addressed.
How To Be a Better Me (behavior/self-esteem) Objective: This
program is designed to encourage good morals and ethics among our youth through educational games and workshops. “Issues
on Bulling will be addressed”.
Successful Avenues Job Referral Program (see Job Alerts Page)
Objective: To assist individuals with job searches
in their area of interest.
Healthy Living Nutrition Program (food stamp initiative/food bank/Healthy
Eating
Objective: To encourage healthy eating amongst
children and elderly members of our community by providing hot meals, grocery assistance and education information.
Volunteer Program
Objective: To encourage individuals who have
been helped by our program to come back and volunteer at least 10 hours a month.
Newsletter
Objective: To keep individuals, as well as possible donors, up-to-date
on outreach happenings.
Teen Scene
Objective: To encourage healthy communication
and interaction among our teen population by providing outings that will encourage them to give back to the community
Legal Referrals Program
Objective:
To provide, self help information for individuals in need of legal assistance, such as referrals, workshops, or access
to pro-bono legal counsel.
Adult Literacy Program
Objective: Teach adults how to read and qualify
for the GED program
Learning to Love Parent/Child Bonding Program
Objective: This program instructs young mothers
on how to bond with their children by teaching them how to better communicate.
Achievements, Alcohol/Drug Counseling
Objective: Alcohol and Drug counseling for
all ages
Excellence After School Program
Objective: To create a safe haven for children
after school. Tutoring, snacks and activities will be a part of this program.
Rober’s Prison to Pride Program
Objective: To assist the children of those
behind bars by helping them cope with self esteem issue. Also assist lower level
offenders with finding employment and reintegration into society.
Julia’s Summer Learning Program
Objective: To encourage participation in the
Arts through music, dance, drama, writing, painting and drawing. Ages from 9-18.
Togetherness Family Counseling Program
Objective: Helping families get back on track
through marriage and relationship counseling.
Helping Hands Shuttle Bus Program
Objective: To provide transportation for client
interviews or to pick up our elderly counselors.
Healing Hearts Senior Mentor Program (Elderly Inclusion Program)
Objective: Studies have shown that family bonds
appeared greater when we include the grandmothers and fathers as a necessary part within the family structure. Each single parent that comes through our program will be required to have a Senior Mentor. (“remember,
it takes a village”). Under this program we also assist the elderly members who live alone and may need assistance
with phone calls for help during the different seasons for heat, air, food, ambulance, etc.
Christine’s Place Child Sitting Service
Objective: (Future Planned Program) This service
is limited to program participants who have been scheduled for interviews, and who will be dropped off and picked up by our
service.
Parents Night Out Program
Objective: (Future Planned Program) Every parent
needs a few moments to themselves every once and a while. This program will provide,
short-term baby sitting on Saturday from 5:00PM – 9:00PM ONE WEEKEND A MONTH. We will not accept children who are going through a healing such as flu/colds/rashes. Child must be potty trained and no younger than 5 years old. A small administrative fee will be charge for refreshments. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
